I barely detected any heat from the hot sauce over the salt. To make matters even worse the collard greens were very salty. Apparently, they did not drain the water out of the collard greens before putting it on the biscuit which also made the biscuit very soggy. When I dug in and found the egg the yolk ran down into the watery mixture which covered the whole plate. At first glance it looked good and was overflowing with collard greens in fact, it was hard to find the egg. I got the Garden Egg which is a biscuit with an over easy egg and collard greens with some hot sauce. We were expecting more like the waffles you get at Kiki’s. My wife had waffles with a side of eggs and bacon which was a big disappointment. It took forever to get our coffee and even longer for our food. The gal who took our order was friendly but obviously new as she had to ask the other order taker how to put in part of our order. It has been open about a year so I would have expected them to have worked out any opening glitches. this was my first visit to this location. While I’ve been to the Maple Street Biscuit location on Archer Rd. We will definitely stop here again when in the area! Their staff was very courteous and friendly as well just be prepared to ‘name a leprechaun’ or some other fun name for your order! More Their orange juice is fresh squeezed and absolutely delicious, their coffee bar is self serve, and as a commercial beekeeper I was thrilled to see honey offered as a sweetener option. Our 5yr old son whom can be difficult with eating new dishes devoured his cinnamon biscuit with vanilla icing, and our 13yr old daughter declared the Risky biscuits and gravy to be one of the best she has ever had! My own plate of the Farmer biscuit had handmade excellent apple butter poured over a biscuit with maple bacon, cheddar cheese, and almost perfect fried chicken, and my picky husband couldn’t get enough of their Mac and Cheese that they were kind enough to make him for his breakfast even though it is typically a lunch dish. 3yr old split the Sweet Grace waffle which had embedded chocolate chips with fresh strawberries and whipped cream as well as quality maple syrup. However, those worries quickly went away as soon as the breakfast appeared and every single kid ate every bite on their plates! Our 8yr old and.
